Mark joined The World 100 in September 2017. He led communications and marketing activity at University College London (UCL) for nearly 10 years, helping to build reputation and establish it as a global brand.

Mark was one of a small group of Communications Directors who came together to establish The World 100 Reputation Network in 2007, and became its first Chair. He has presented at conferences around the world on university reputation, communications and marketing. He has also played key roles in the networks of Communications Directors at the League of European Research Universities (LERU) and the Russell Group.

Earlier in his career, Mark worked for the UK government where he managed communications around legislation which led to a ban on smoking in public places. He was Head of Public Affairs at the Football Association, the governing body for soccer in England, and started his career at the University of Sussex.

Sarah joined the Cambridge team at The Knowledge Partnership in 2013, having previously been involved with a number of projects on a freelance basis. She is responsible for liaising with the membership of the World 100 Network as well as organising conferences, study tours and other special events.

Sarah has previously worked at the Press and Publications Office at the University of Cambridge with Louise Simpson, as well as a number of UK charities and the Overseas Press and Media Assocation.

Sarah holds an English degree from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Ishan joined the World 100 in 2021, bringing over 15 years of experience in the Higher Education sector. After completing BA and MA degrees at the University of Warwick, he went on to receive a PhD in International Relations from the University of Sussex in 2013. Ishan began his HE career in research, teaching and curriculum development, before moving into senior roles with regulatory, commercial and strategic responsibilities. He has worked in both the public and private HE sector, and led on widening participation and curriculum development projects in both the UK and international markets.

Ishan is passionate about the development of transnational higher education and empowering opportunities for study for all, and closely follows the evolution of HE policy and strategy across different regions. As a keen advocate of lifelong learning, he is undertaking professional certification in data science and analysis with IBM, aiming to apply techniques of machine learning and artificial intelligence to higher education research and strategy.

Ishan lives in Cambridge, and is a fan of Middlesex Cricket Club, Queens Park Rangers FC and is always keen to try out new restaurants and gastropubs.
