Abi Kelly joined RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2020 as Director of International Engagement and External Relations with responsibility for the Office for Institutional Research and Planning. Her role is to support the University’s reputation raising strategy and build its brand among key stakeholders. A key ambition for RCSI is to be recognised in the Top 200 of universities in the world. Prior to her role with RCSI, Abi spent 8 years at Newcastle University (UK) where she was Executive Director of Corporate Affairs managing the external profile of this Russell Group university. She also led communications for the N8 Research Partnership, a collaborative mission group of the eight research-intensive universities in the North of England. She has spent 28 years working in the Public Relations industry in the UK, including roles in local and regional government, and as a PR Consultant for private-sector clients including Whitbread and Nissan. Founded as the national training body for surgery in Ireland, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences has been at the forefront of healthcare education since its establishment in 1784. As an independent, not-for-profit institution, we chart our own course in the pursuit of excellence in human healthcare. Today we are an innovative, world-leading international health sciences education and research institution with undergraduate and postgraduate schools and faculties across the health sciences spectrum. Graham Carr was appointed Provost and Vice-President, Academic Affairs on October 1, 2016, prior to that he served as Vice-president for Research and Graduate Studies. Graham came to Concordia as a faculty member in History in 1983. His research focuses on North American cultural history, in particular cultural diplomacy and the Cold War. José Santiago Fernández Vázquez (Madrid, 1973) is a graduate (1995) and holds a Doctorate (2001) in English Philology. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Modern Philology at University of Alcalá. He has over ten years of experience in university management. He has been Secretary of the Department of Modern Philology (2002-2005), President of the English Philology Self-assessment Committee (2004-2005), Inspection Services Assistant (2005-2006) and Director of Bachelor’s Degree Curricula at the University of Alcalá (2006-2010). He has held the post of Vice President of Coordination and Communications since March 2010. The University of Alcalá was founded in 1499 as a new educational project by Cardinal Cisneros, the Regent of Spain. Steeped in history, the University today is a medium-sized modern institution, and acknowledged as a model to be imitated in Europe and America. She is responsible for three directorates within the External Relations Division: Birmingham Global; Public and Cultural Engagement; and Communications and Reputation. Santiago Fernández-Gubieda Lacalle is the Director of the Reputation Unit at the University of Navarra. As well as this, he is the bursar of the Center of University Governance and Reputation at the University of Navarra. He is currently preparing his doctoral thesis about reputation and governance of universities. His specific focus is on the management and measurement perceptions of university stakeholders and how reputation management can improve a university’s performance. He is also working on the rankings strategy of the University. He has an Executive MBA from the University of Navarra – IESE Business School. From 2018 to 2020, he was Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Communication at the University. In addition, from 2014 to 2018, he was the Communication Director of the University Hospital of Navarra. Before that, he was the director of the Digital Communication Service of the University of Navarra. He has worked in mass media and he is also a communication consultant for universities and educational organisations. The University of Navarra, established in 1952, has its main campus in Pamplona, Spain. Other campuses are placed in San Sebastian, Madrid, Barcelona (IESE Business School), and has overseas locations in New York, Munich and Sao Paulo. All of them are multicultural spaces where our students receive a well–rounded and personalized education, and where teaching and research go hand in hand.
